| | By 2003, Tove Jansson's Moomin books had become hard to find in the UK.
Then Penguin Books saved the day and released editions with all new covers,
and these are now easy to find in shops and online.
Moominpappa at Sea is the only title Penguin has not yet scheduled
for a new edition - for reasons I've failed to discover.
Also, The Summer Book was republished
in May 2003 by Sort Of Books - available for the first time in 20 years,
and received with positive reviews - and the large-format picture books also
published by Sort Of are both still available to buy.

| | The collection shown below represents the majority of the Tove Jansson
books published in the UK. I'm still searching for other old Ernest Benn
hardback editions of the Moomin books.
Overall, almost all of the Moomin books have been published in the UK over
the years. Exceptions are The Moomins and the Great Flood
(which was translated into English in 2005, and published in Finland)
and An Unwanted Guest (which has not been translated into English).
Also, only a small selection of Tove and Lars Jansson's Evening News
Moomin cartoon strips have ever been published (in the rare 1957 Allan Wingate
Moomin collection), despite being
written in English for publication in England!
